Prioritise High-Value Work

Focus on the work and the task that’s most focused on the task that gives you the highest value for the minimal amount of effort. Always focus on the high-value work. How you value work versus the ones that could be passed off to someone else. So focus only on the important task and you will definitely start to see your data become more productive.

Make your tasks Repeatable

Whatever things that you find yourself repeating. Every. Single. Day. Make a process around it. Make it a routine. For example, if every single morning you have the same routine of waking up and followed by some breathing exercises then a shower. You might want to keep these as a routine and do everything in the same order as much as possible. This will make your productivity better for the rest of the day as these routine tasks can be done without any effort and will set you up for the rest of the day.

No Multi-Tasking

You may be thinking,

“I’m a multi-tasker. Doing more than two task at a time is second nature to me. I’m productive.”

But actually, it does not really work. When you multi-task, you brain is consistently required to switch from one activity to the next activity, to another activity and not giving it ample time to adapt to what it needs to focus on. Instead, you want to focus on one task at a time and you will see that your productivity will shoot right up. So close all those tabs on your browser and just open that ones that are necessary, your task at hand.

If you are going to do a research for a blog post that’s coming up, open a maximum on three tabs on your browser to consolidate your research with. In this way, at any point of time, your Brain knows what you are working on, this will definitely help you to boost your productivity.

How do you implement this effectively?

Just got to give it a shot! Do one thing at a time and be consistent at it. Once it has become a habit, you will definitely be more confident in that area and that particular activity. Sooner or later, it will be ingrained in your muscle memory, making it so much easier for you to do the same work as the time goes on.
